Log Book of Absence
Passage of time and passage of movement, both are distancing agents of events from one to the other. In this, memory resides as a connecting thread, a continuity of a history that is disturbed and dislocated in the clash of utopias in the name of multiple anxieties, seeking for dominance and a desire to cleanse. Cities are dismantled and chaos is initiated. Human exodus and unending movement of feet are forced toward other frontiers in search of a ‘home’, a home to reside and anchor the fragile memories and fragmented histories burdened with ‘absences’ of the familiar, the intimate and the cherished.
